1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Heretic's Codex (the "Site"), owned and operated by Eric Monson (professionally known as Des Monson) ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this Site, booking a consultation, or purchasing digital materials, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. The Nature of the Services (Disclaimer)

Heretic's Codex provides spiritual consultation, narrative analysis, and educational resources.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Educational & Entertainment Purposes: All Tarot readings, astrological charts, and written content are provided for educational, spiritual, and entertainment purposes only.

  • Sovereignty Clause: You are the sole author of your life. Nothing said in a consultation should be interpreted as a fixed prediction of the future. You retain full agency and responsibility for your decisions, actions, and life path.

  • No Professional Advice: The insights provided during a session do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. We are not licensed medical professionals or attorneys. If you are facing a medical emergency or legal crisis, please seek the appropriate professional services.

3. Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

We value your time and ours. To maintain the integrity of our schedule:

  • Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund or credit.

  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable. If you do not appear for your session within 15 minutes of the start time, it will be considered a forfeiture of the session.

  • Practitioner Cancellations: In the rare event that we must cancel due to illness or emergency, you will be offered a full refund or a priority rescheduling slot (often with extended time as a courtesy).

4. Payment and Refunds

  • Consultations: Payment is due upon booking. Refunds are not provided for services that have already been rendered. Dissatisfaction with the "message" of a reading is not grounds for a refund, as we prioritize truth over comfort.

  • Digital Goods (Musical Charts/PDFs): Due to the immediate nature of digital delivery, all sales of downloadable content, including Musical Natal Charts and educational PDFs, are final and non-refundable.

  • Patronage: Contributions made via the "Patronage" or "Support" page are considered voluntary gifts to support the creation of free content and are non-refundable.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including blog posts ("The Codex"), methodologies, logos, and site design, is the intellectual property of Heretic's Codex.

  • Usage: You may share our blog posts with proper credit/attribution. You may not reproduce, sell, or modify our materials for commercial purposes without express written consent.

  • Session Recordings: If you purchase a recording of your session, it is for your personal, private use only. You may not publish or distribute these recordings publicly.

6. Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a safe, rigorous container for spiritual work. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who exhibits harassment, hate speech, or disrespect towards the practitioner. In such cases, a refund will be issued for any unredeemed services, and the professional relationship will be terminated.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Heretic's Codex and yourself irrevocably consent that the courts of the State of Florida, United States shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
